Five new couples are set to battle it out on Mount Eliza to create the perfect home.

We are just a few weeks away from a new season of The Block, and now we know who will be bulldozing their way to victory.
After nearly two dozen seasons, the next instalment of the Channel 9 show will do something it has never done before: have a sea view.
It will be set at Mount Eliza on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula, which is known for its “elegant” homes, “scenic” beaches and “vibrant community life.
The Block host Scott Cam is excited for Australia to meet the new batch of five couples trying to win.
“The new contestants, as they arrive on day one, are excited and green and nervous,” he said.
The new season premieres on August 2.
Who are the contestants on The Block 2026?
First up, we have stay-at-home mum Chantel and her personal trainer partner Wyatt.
The Gold Coast couple has a slight edge as Chantel has a Certificate IV in Building and Construction.
She’s a qualified supervisor and trained in carpentry, so she’ll know her way around a building site.

Adam and Jolene are a married couple who manage a cattle station in South Australia.
They live on a property more than 560km north of Adelaide, and Adam is a qualified carpenter.
Jolene added that they are “huge” fans of The Block and have watched every episode.
“I have wanted to do this show for years,” she said.

Sev and Courtney are best mates from Brisbane, and they will certainly have a leg up on the competition.
Courtney is a construction site manager, and Sev is an interior designer, so they will definitely understand how to achieve the look and feel of a home poised to sell.
“I’ve renovated 110 bathrooms in three weeks,” Courtney told Nine.
But the tradie said she won’t reveal her profession to the other contestants and will simply tell them she works in administration.

Paramedic Lisa and Rosco, a FIFO oil and gas logistics expert, are a married couple from Perth.
Like Jolene, Lisa is a massive fan of the Channel 9 show, and they have also done a home renovation over three years.
The makeover included updates to the cabinetry, the creation of a new kitchen and bathroom, and landscaping.

Finally, we have Victorian father-daughter duo Rick and Tayla.
The 63-year-old dad is a builder, and his daughter is a personal trainer and brow business owner.
“It is a dream I have wanted for so long,” Rick said. “I just love it.”

The Block executive producer, Julian Cress, said they have hand-picked 10 “ultra-competitive” people to raise the bar on the show that Aussies know and love.
“As always, there are many twists and turns, and these contestants will be under more pressure than any group in the history of The Block as the judges set one of the toughest design briefs ever,” Julian said.
“Unlike last year’s more remote location, where noise was not a concern, Mount Eliza is a premium residential neighbourhood, and we need to adhere to strict council regulations.”
For the first time ever, the contestants will all be living together under one roof.
It’ll likely be a recipe for drama, with past seasons showing explosive arguments because contestants were simply sharing a job site – let alone the same kitchen.
“While living together offers opportunities for shared meals and camaraderie, it also ensures the competitive tension remains constant as contestants spend nearly every waking hour in each other’s company,’ Julian added.
