When does The Block 2026 air?

Save the date because TV’s biggest renovation competition is back! New episodes of The Block start Sunday 2 August 2026 only on Channel 9 and 9Now.

And this year’s Blockheads have no idea what’s they’re in for as returning host Scott Cam announces in the new promo: “22 seasons of The Block, and we’ve never had a water view before.”

But that’s not the only huge change coming to the latest season.

“Now, I suppose you want to know where you’re going to be living?” Scotty quizzes the new cast.

We’ve had tents, we’ve had tents on concrete and luxury caravans but never before have the Blockheads lived in one big Block house.

Yep, not ideal.  Nine

“We’re in a shared house here,” one contestant reacts in panic.

Of course, the real reason we’re here is to witness the mind-blowing reveals each week. If the promo is anything to go by, this will be the best Block ever.

When you join The Block you’ll want a few secret weapons up your sleeve and Courtney here is holding on to a huge secret.

“I am a site manager in commercial construction, I’ve renovated 110 bathrooms in three weeks,” she revealed.

But she might not disclose that to the other contestants. In fact, Courtney is telling the other Blockheads she’s “just in admin”. Tactical or sneaky?

Blue team: Chantel and Wyatt

Chantel and Wyatt met at the gym and have been inseparable ever since. “Big Dog” Wyatt claims to have zero building experience. Unless… body building counts? He’s hoping to learn on the go.

Perhaps the most mysterious couple joining the season. But they sure look like a lot of fun.

Who is returning to The Block 2026?

The first look trailer gave some pretty strong clues that all of your usual Block favourites are back for another round.

Host Scott Cam is leading the charge, we’ve spotted Foreman Dan Reilly hard at work, so it looks like he’s back to keep the Blockheads in line.

His wife Dani Reilly has also teased on social media that she’ll be making her guest return to Mount Eliza too.

Where is The Block 2026 located this year?

This year, Australia’s favourite reno show is heading to the coast and touching down in stunning Mount Eliza.

The picturesque bayside location boasts secluded beaches like Canadian Bay and Ranelagh Beach, and the most vibrant local community of boutique shops, cafés, gourmet grocers and more.

Here co-hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft, along with five eager new teams, will relocate to a prime development site on Old Mornington Road. The builders will be challenged to add luxury resort-style living to five family-sized homes, all with an eye on those amazing water views.

What is the prize money on The Block?

Each team will get to keep the profits made on Auction Day. The team that makes the most profit above reserve on auction day will take home an extra $100,000 prize money.

Since premiering on Channel 9 in 2003, Australia’s toughest building challenge has awarded a total of $39,627,139.63 in prize money.

Who won The Block 2025?
