The truth behind Kyle Sandilands and Karl Stefanovic‘s rumoured ‘Kyle and Karl’ show has been revealed, weeks after a cryptic domain registration sparked rumours about a future collaboration.
Speculation of a joint project erupted after Sandilands’ company King Kyle Group Pty Ltd quietly registered the domains KyleandKarl.com.au and KarlandKyle.com.au last month. But as it turns out, the whole thing was just an elaborate prank.

Kyle’s long-term manager, Bruno Bouchet, revealed it was “the best $7 I spent” as he confirmed the two would not be joining forces.
Appearing on the Game Changers Radio podcast, Bouchet was asked if he registered the domain names as a “bit of s–t stirring, a bit of clickbait from your end”.
“Yeah, absolutely,” Bouchet replied on the podcast, hosted by former radio executives Craig Bruce and Irene Hulme. “There was nothing to it.”
“I had a journo calling me like, ‘What do you think about Karl and Kyle?’ And while I was talking to this journo, I just registered both domains, and it was the best $7 I’ve spent.”
The speculation of a joint venture between the ex-KIIS FM radio king and former Today host came as both departed their respective shows to pursue individual projects.
This morning it was announced that Sandilands’ highly anticipated new project was just weeks away. The new show, Kyle Sandilands Live, is set to launch on Monday, August 10 via Sandilands’ upcoming app.
Bouchet confirmed that like a standard radio show, the show would also include music and a newsreader. A subscription would cost $99 annually, with no monthly option available at launch.
Bouchet said that Stefanovic may appear on the show, but not in a co-hosting capacity.

“I don’t know if he’d be a regular, it’s not anything we’ve discussed or planned at this stage,” he said.
He also questioned whether a ‘Kyle and Karl’ show would really work because they are too similar.
“I’ve always thought about, with a producer’s hat on… what would Karl and Kyle’s chemistry bring? Like if you were listening to it, what’s unique about the chemistry?” he asked.

Sandilands’ radio show will air after an already announced docuseries called At Home with Kyle, which Bouchet said would launch its first of four episodes in late July.
