Married At First Sight bride Bec Zacharia has revealed the final messages she exchanged with groom Danny Hewitt after their on-screen relationship ended in heartbreak and explosive unaired footage reignited interest in the former couple.

The pair made it all the way to Final Vows during this year’s season of the Channel 9 reality show, where Danny ended the relationship after Bec declared she wanted a future together.

But after the experiment wrapped, viewers were shown previously unseen footage of Danny lashing out at producers over being matched with Bec, insisting they should have found him a “better” partner before later apologising for his comments.

Now, speaking on The Ella Era podcast, Bec has shared where things stand between the pair, reading what she claimed was the final text exchange they ever had.

“[He] wrote a message saying, ‘All I’ve heard is you say horrendous things about me. Not one good thing. I’ve done so much for you. All you do is lie’,” she claimed.

According to Bec, Danny went on to call her “disgusting”, said she should be “ashamed” of herself and claimed she had brought him nothing but “misery”.

She also claimed he said he had gone on the show for “fame”.

The Englishman allegedly accused Bec of appearing on “every podcast under the sun” to speak about him.

Bec said she replied that she was “really sad” to read the message.

“I’m sorry this is how you feel,” she said she wrote.

She also told Danny she didn’t know what “lies” he was referring to because, in her view, everything she had said publicly was truthful.

“But I understand when a mirror is put up, that can be confronting,” she said she replied.

Bec said that was the last conversation they had, with the messages exchanged on April 9.
