The 22-year-old took out the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.

Robert Irwin has won his first-ever Logie Award and took home the gong for Most Popular Presenter.

The 22-year-old was up against stiff competition, including his I’m A Celeb co-host Julia Morris, Larry Emdur, Hamish Blake, Amanda Keller, and Lisa Millar.

But he scored enough of the vote to walk away with the silver trophy.

Robert is hosting the glitzy event and was standing just off-stage when his name was read out.

When the camera panned to him, he was clearly surprised that he had taken out the prize.

“I gotta say, I thought I’d only have one job tonight. I did not prepare for that,” he told the crowd.

“What an incredible show to be a part of, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. That was the greatest three years of my entire life.

“This is the first time I’ve held one of these, and I want to dedicate this to my family.

“To the people who back me every single day. I’m a wildlife conservationist, first and foremost, my heart beats for Australia Zoo, and I bleed khaki.”

He said his family was in North Queensland watching the Logies via satellite connection while on a crocodile research expedition.

Robert dedicated his first-ever Logie to his family.

“This is for not only my family, my mum, my sister, Chandler, Grace… all of you guys. This is for my Australia Zoo family.

“What an honour it is for all of us, together, to work toward a mission that my dad started.

“That is the honour of my lifetime, and I never thought I’d get to bring that mission to this stage, but here we are, and thank you.”

He also paid tribute to his co-host, Julia, and called her the legend of legends.

Robert is also up for the Gold Logie Award later tonight.
