Channel 10 is FURIOUS! Channel 7 Just STOLE Their Biggest Reality Show and Promised a ‘Brand New Era’ That Changes EVERYTHING!
Channel Seven has officially snapped up one of television’s biggest reality franchises, just months after Network 10 pulled the plug on the long-running series.
Channel Seven has officially poached I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! from rival Network 10, confirming the hit reality format will return to Australian screens in 2027.
Sunrise announced on Wednesday morning that Seven had secured the rights to the ITV Studios Australia-produced series, with the jungle competition set to join the network’s entertainment slate next year.
The move comes just months after Network 10 it would axe the long-running reality favourite following 12 seasons, bringing an end to the version hosted by Robert Irwin and comedian Julia Morris.

“I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is one of the world’s most recognisable entertainment formats and we’re incredibly excited to welcome it to Seven in 2027,” Southern Cross Media Group Managing Director of Television and Streaming Angus Ross said.
“This is a proven franchise with a passionate fan base and we look forward to bringing our own fresh energy and ambition to its next chapter.”
ITV Studios Australia CEO and Managing Director David Mott also welcomed the new partnership.
“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with the Seven Network to unleash the next massive evolution of I’m A Celebrity… in 2027.
“For over ten years, Australian audiences have loved this iconic show, and with terrifying trials, hilarious camp drama and heartfelt celebrity revelations, ITV Studios Australia is ready to deliver a brand-new era for the Jungle.”
The announcement has already sparked speculation over who will front the revived series.
Seven already has former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host Dr Chris Brown on its roster after he joined the network in 2024, while Irwin was recently announced as host of the 2026 TV Week Logie Awards.
To mark the announcement, Seven shared a teaser for the show’s return on social media, asking viewers: “Who’s jungle-ready? Tag the celeb you want to see compete to be King or Queen.”

Fans quickly flooded the comments, with former Bachelor contestant Brittany Hockley writing: “Yassssss”, while entertainment reporter Justin Hill commented: “Well this is a bit exciting!”
Many viewers also urged the network to retain the show’s familiar hosting duo.
One user wrote: “Say you’ve got @ladyjuliamorris pretty pretty please.”
“Wow! Now say you’ve got Lady Julia and Robert Irwin hosting again and I’m all IN,” another added, while a third commented: “That’s great news – love the show!! Might be time Dr Chris Brown be a contestant!!’
Seven is yet to announce who will host the reboot, with no filming location or premiere date having been confirmed.
