“I Was So Humiliated!” Kyle Sandilands Breaks Down Revealing the MOST EMBARRASSING Thing He Had to Do After Getting Axed!
Amid the darkest moments of his career, there’s one incident in particular that Kyle Sandilands singles out as the most humiliating of his life.
That was telling his wife, Tegan Sandilands, his contract had been officially terminated by the Australian Radio Network (ARN) and he would longer be hosting The Kyle and Jackie O Show on KIIS FM – or any show on the network.

Sandilands told this story in the latest episode of his four-part docuseries At Home With Kyle Sandilands, released on Wednesday, as raw footage played out of him learning his doomed fate with his long-time manager Bruno Bouchet.
“That was the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever had to do in my life,” he recalled.
“When I got off the phone to you [Bouchet] after you’d spoken to the CEO, I stood up and walked out here and she’s playing with Otto.
“She looked at me and she just knew instantly something was wrong. She stood up off the ground, and I said, ‘They’re going to fire me’.”
The couple married in April 2023 and share a son, Otto, who is three. She has been by his side throughout the demise of his radio career.
“She’s been good… but she’s probably hiding a lot of her nerves,” he admitted.
In the rest of the clip, Sandilands shared disappointment at how his relationship with former co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had fallen apart in such a sensational manner, following an on-air row on February 20 that marked the beginning of the end of their 27-year partnership.
“I really don’t know where it came from. At no stage did she ever… she’s not a wallflower,” he said.
“She’s quite happy to give her advice or direction or what she’s happy with, she’s never been one to shy away from what she wants and always gets what she wants. Like that’s always how it’s been.
“To not even pull me aside or something and say, ‘Hey, this is pissing me off’ or ‘That’s pissing me off’ – I don’t actually know what pissed her off.”

Sandilands claimed that if Henderson told him at any stage a certain joke or comment was a “no-go zone”, he would have changed his behaviour immediately.
“I still actually feel bad that I’ve hurt her feelings this much that it’s justified this behaviour,” he continued. “I don’t like that; I still feel guilty even though I’ve done nothing different that I’ve done every other day for 25 years.”
The docuseries also covered the days that followed from the contract termination, including his appearances on Australian Idol and his first trip to court against his former employer, which saw a media circus waiting for him outside.
Sandilands had taken legal action against his former employer after it terminated his $100 million KIIS FM contract earlier this year.
ARN later revealed it had agreed to pay Sandilands a settlement of $12.09 million, with $3 million of the package payable in July and the balance payable monthly until June 2029.

As part of the settlement, ARN agreed to provide Sandilands with “advertising services on ARN’s partner platforms” worth $1.5 million over the next three years.
He said one of the main reasons he decided to settle was so he could return to work, which he is doing with his own app Kyle Sandilands Live.
All four episodes of his new docuseries are being released on the subscription-only app, which will also feature new morning breakfast show which will air live on weekdays from August 10.
Henderson also launched a lawsuit against her former employer claiming compensation of at least $82.25 million and alleging that her termination was against the Fair Work Act.
It was revealed she will still proceed with the lawsuit, despite her former co-host settling.
