Former Married at First Sight contestant has released a cringey tribute to the late Jurassic Park actor Sam Neill, with internet onlookers branding him a “clown”.
The New Zealand actor, who starred in blockbuster films such as Jurassic Park and The Piano, passed away in Sydney last Monday, aged 78.
Former Married at First Sight husband Paul Antoine, who was married to Carina Mirabile on season 12, last week posted a tribute to the late actor that left the internet squirming.
The Perth local curated a profile showcasing outfits of the day, and paid tribute to the actor who played a “huge part” in his childhood in the same fashion.
He captioned the post: “I grew up rewatching Jurassic Park more times than I can count, and Alan Grant was such a huge part of that.”
“This one’s a small tribute to Sam Neill and everything he gave us. Thank you for the memories.”
With his phone propped up, he began assembling his look.

“Sadly, as you guys already know, we lost Sam Neil a few days ago,” he said at the beginning of the clip.
“So today, in his memory, I’m recreating his most iconic look from Jurassic Park.”
He pulled on his chinos, before buttoning up an iconically Alan Grant denim shirt.
He paired it with a brown belt and finished the look with a red neck scarf.

He posed with a tilted cowboy hat and concluded the video by saying: “Sam Neill, or should I say Alan Grant – rest easy.”
Commenters were quick to leave their honest opinions of the social media clip, with some calling it “clown behaviour”.
“The hair hang affectation is becoming a bit pathetic,” one person commented.
“Way to insert yourself into an icon’s death! Clown behaviour,” commented another.

“Except he was an actual icon,” wrote a third.
A fourth commented: “Anything to make content.”
Another simply added: “Jesus christ”.
The MAFS groom came under fire during his season for an off-camera altercation in which Antione’s “wife” Carina Mirabile said Paul punched a hole in a wall off-camera.
Carina, 31, said Paul, 30, threw the punch at their apartment at Sydney’s One Global Resorts Green Square after she admitted she slept with an American rapper understood to be Quavo before the pair wed onscreen.
New South Wales Authorities later launched an investigation into the incident in February, with a NSW Police spokesperson telling SkyNews.com.au that “following an investigation conducted by officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command, no further police action is expected.”
The matter was reportedly resolved privately and out of the spotlight.
The polarising event led to Nine Network launching a full-scale reset for the show’s 2026 season, reportedly issuing a very clear directive: “Go hard on challenging the participants, but keep the drama out of the courtroom.”
