Kyle Sandilands’ Shocking Breakdown: The Jackie O Accusation That Left Him Sobbing In The Shower

In a sworn statement, Jackie O Henderson said an “unpredictable and erratic” Kyle would “belittle or humiliate me”.

Kyle Sandilands said he “fell apart” after reading that his former co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson claimed she has post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to his behaviour.

The claims were contained in legal documents submitted to court in the 51-year-old’s lawsuit against her former employer, ARN, reports Newswire.

Kyle was truly stunned by the revelations and called them “soul-destroying”.

“I was shattered. I instantly burst into tears. I just fell apart this morning…crying in the shower like a f***ing big sook,” he said.

“But that is so against the reality of what happened…It’s soul-destroying, it really is.

“It’s very upsetting.”

Kyle dismissed claims that their KIIS FM show, which they hosted for more than a decade, was primarily all about him and that Jackie was just “along for the ride”.

“She was part of the orchestration of that whole show…This was our show together,” he said.

The update also hit Kyle’s newsreader, Brooklyn Ross, hard.

He first started working with the radio duo in 2015 and jumped ship from KIIS FM to join Kyle’s new project.

Brooklyn broke down in tears this morning over Jackie’s claims.

“It’s terrible that you two are in this position against each other, because she doesn’t hate you that bad,” Brooklyn said.

The newsreader said working with Kyle and Jackie O was more than just his working life.

“They were both so generous to all their staff,” he said.

What was in the court documents Jackie O Henderson filed?

In a sworn statement, Jackie said an “unpredictable and erratic” Kyle would “belittle or humiliate” her.

“I felt that the constant attacking of my character and putting me down at work by Mr Sandilands was slowly wearing me down…I felt exhausted and like I wanted to give up,” the documents claimed.

“I felt like this treatment was happening in subtle ways, but regularly. It felt like bullying.”

Jackie’s court filing included a reference to an expert report from Dr Jonathan Phillips.

Dr Phillips “(states) that Ms Henderson is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder arising as a result of “the ongoing bullying perpetrated by Sandilands”, “the failure of ARN to offer appropriate care and protection” and “the publishing of the Statement through the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX)”.

The affidavit represents Jackie’s first public statements since her and Kyle’s KIIS FM show capitulated, and both hosts separately sued the station.

On air in February, Kyle reduced Jackie to tears as he criticised his long-time co-host’s work ethic and commitment.

ARN served Kyle a notice that his behaviour constituted “serious misconduct”, and Jackie notified the company she could no longer work with him.

As a result, Kyle’s contract was terminated by ARN, and he sued, which resulted in a $12 million settlement.
