She Never Left Our Minds! Sam Armytage Just Teased a SHOCKING Today Show Comeback and Fans Are LOSING IT!

Samantha Armytage has addressed questions about potentially joining the Today show for Nine.

It comes after the departure of Karl Stefanovic, and Sarah Abo commencing maternity leave. Media speculation suggests Abo will not be returning at all, but that’s yet to be confirmed by either Nine or Abo herself.

It leaves Nine with the challenge of resetting its entire breakfast show, which it may not do until 2027.

This morning Michael Willesee Jr. co-hosted alongside and Sylvia Jeffreys.

Yesterday Armyage (who has filled in on Today) was probed on the question for the Sunday Telegraph.

“I love breakfast TV. I’ve done it for a long time. I know how to do it, I enjoy it, and I’m doing some fill-in stuff coming up, which will be great,” she said.

“But there is no job offered.”

But if they were to offer her a permanent hosting role, would she take it?

“I don’t know the answer to that. I would have to think long and hard … It is a big job and I know that first hand. Those starts are hard work. There is a lot of attention that comes with that,“ she said.

Indeed Armytage loathed becoming part of clickbait stories associated with Sunrise, and press scrutiny, particularly from the paps, was one of the reasons she left the show … and no doubt one of the reasons Nine would want her.

“Also I don’t have anything left to prove in that breakfast TV role. I have done that at the highest levels and done it really well and won the ratings on a big show. And I walked away from that. So would I go back to it? I don’t know and I would have to think about it.”
