She’s Selling the Ring?! MAFS’ Bec Zacharia’s SHOCKING Confession After Her Devastating Split From Danny Will Leave You Speechless!

Months after her relationship with Danny Hewitt came to an end on Married at First Sight Australia, reality TV star Bec Zacharia has revealed that she is selling the diamond wedding ring she received during the experiment. Calling it a symbol of a chapter that has ended, Bec said the ring “serves no purpose” in her life anymore and that letting it go is part of moving forward.

The announcement comes after a turbulent few months that saw the couple’s breakup, public backlash against Hewitt and Bec opening up about what she described as a toxic relationship behind the scenes.

Here’s why the MAFS star has decided to part ways with her engagement ring.

Why Is Bec Zacharia Selling Her MAFS Engagement Ring?

Bec Zacharia shared the news through her Instagram Stories, revealing that she no longer has any reason to keep the ring she received during Married at First Sight Australia Season 13.

She said, “Good afternoon, guys. I’m selling my MAFS diamond wedding ring. I don’t need it. It serves no purpose for me anymore.”

The reality star explained that the ring originally retailed for AUD 2,800 at jeweller Simon Curwood, although she does not expect to receive the full amount.

She told her followers: “It was selling at Simon Curwood for $2,800. I obviously don’t expect to get that, but my DMs are open. Hit me up if you’re interested.”

Showing the ring to her followers, Bec added, “It’s a beautiful ring. It looks beautiful on the finger, but I don’t need it. So if anyone wants to buy it, let me know, guys.”

She also revealed that a portion of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Animal Welfare League, an organisation that helps animals in need.

What Did Bec Zacharia Say About Moving On?

Speaking to People, Bec said selling the ring is about embracing a fresh start rather than holding onto the past.

She explained, “My wedding ring symbolized a marriage that ultimately wasn’t meant to last. Keeping it doesn’t feel right anymore, so I’ve decided it’s time to let it go. Selling it is about closing that chapter and moving forward.”

The reality star also shared her belief in new beginnings, adding, “I’m a big believer in the universe and the energy we carry into different stages of our lives. Letting it go feels like the right step as I move into this next chapter.”

Despite everything that happened, Bec insisted she has no resentment towards her former partner.

She said, “I feel no bitterness, just gratitude. I’m looking forward to new opportunities, new experiences and a love that’s truly meant for me.”

Earlier this year, after the MAFS finale aired, Bec reflected on her journey in an emotional Instagram post.

She wrote, “I came here for love … but I left with something far more valuable, I learned to love myself.”

She continued, “I gave this everything, and I’m damn proud of that. But I’ve realized not everyone deserves access to a heart like mine. So while you chose to walk away, I chose me. Stronger. Wiser. Unshakable in my worth. I know exactly what I bring to the table now.”

What Happened Between Bec Zacharia And Danny Hewitt?

Bec Zacharia and Danny Hewitt met after being matched on Season 13 of Married at First Sight Australia.

Although the pair initially appeared hopeful about building a future together, their relationship deteriorated as the experiment progressed.

During the show’s Final Vows, Danny ultimately decided to end the relationship, bringing their television romance to an end.

Following the breakup, Bec spoke openly about her experience, describing it as emotionally difficult and saying she learned important lessons about self-worth.

Why Did Danny Hewitt Face Backlash After MAFS?

The former couple remained in the spotlight even after filming ended. In May, Danny Hewitt faced criticism after footage aired during MAFS: After The Dinner Party, showing him making harsh remarks about Bec and the matchmaking process.

According to reports, Danny criticised the show’s producers for not “bringing him better women” and claimed, “I could roll up to Coles right now, aisle four, and there’s a bird in there, she’ll be better than Bec.”

The comments sparked backlash online, with many viewers calling them disrespectful. Danny later apologised on Instagram, admitting he was “ashamed” of himself.
