The Block Just Leaked a SHOCKING First-Ever Twist for 2026 – Plus the Premiere Date Fans Have Been Begging For!
Fans finally have a date for when they can tune in and watch the popular renovation show.

Aussies have finally been given a sneak peek at the 2026 season of The Block, and it’s set to look and operate a bit differently this time around.
After leaving fans on the edges of their seats for months, Channel 9 has revealed when the renovation show will return to screens: August 2.
The show will take place in Victoria’s Mount Eliza, which is the first time in the program’s 22 seasons that they’ll have the ocean as a view.
Scott Cam and Shelley Craft will return as hosts, and the judges will be Marty Fox, Darren Palmer and Shaynna Blaze.
Channel 9 dropped a trailer for the upcoming season, revealing all the twists and turns to expect.
Previously, contestants have competed in the inner city, on farmland, and even in caravan parks.
But with Mount Eliza sitting on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula, it’ll give the rookie builders a different type of vista.
“Twenty-two seasons of The Block and we’ve never had a water view before,” Scott said.
However, that’s not the only twist that the five teams of two are going to have to account for.
At the beginning of the show, the contestants often stay in a tent or a caravan until the property is safe to live in.
But for the first time ever, the contestants will all be living together under one roof.
“We’re in a shared house here,” said one stunned participant.
It’ll likely be a recipe for drama, with past seasons showing explosive arguments because contestants were simply sharing a job site – let alone the same kitchen.
Renovating is hard enough, let alone sharing a wall with your competition.

Fans all over the world can’t wait for the new season to kick off
Channel 9’s online teaser for the season was flooded with messages from around the globe of people excited to soak up another instalment of renovation drama.
Many also said it was nice to finally know when the season will launch.
“Argh I wish we could watch this in the UK! Love The Block,” one excited fan said.
“Waiting here in Texas, USA,” added another.
“Best time of the year,” wrote one Blockhead.
“Finally, I’ve been refreshing everyday,” commented another eager viewer.
“And so the countdown begins,” said a fifth.
What do we know about the teams for The Block 2026?
There are five teams on the show, but one duo already has a pretty big advantage.
The Pink Team consists of Courtney and Sev, with Courtney being a site manager in commercial construction.
“I’ve renovated 110 bathrooms in three weeks,” she told Nine.

But Courtney is keeping that detail close to her chest, telling other contestants she simply works in administration.
The Yellow Team consists of Lisa and Rosco; the Blue Team is made up of Chantel and Wyatt; while the Red Team is Adam and Jolene; and the Green Team consists of Rick and Tayla.
