The Block's Emma Just Revealed Why Meeting Lisa Was Like Living In A 'Time Warp' And Her Exclusive Confession Is Bizarre

Emma told WHO about the unlikely coincidence connecting her pregnancy with Lisa’s, admitting she feels like she is reliving The Block all over again.

Lisa and Rosco’s surprise pregnancy has already drawn comparisons to Emma and Ben’s experience on The Block last year.

However, according to Emma, the similarities between the two pregnancies may be even more precise than viewers realise.

The former contestant believes Lisa is at almost exactly the same stage of pregnancy that she was while filming the 2025 season.

“She, I think, is pretty much the exact same far along in her pregnancy that I was, like, this time last year,” Emma told WHO.

Even more remarkably, Emma believes Lisa’s baby may share the same due date that was originally given for her son Bailey.

“Her due date, yeah, I think it was the same as Bails’ due date, which is bizarre,” she said.

While the matching date has not been confirmed, Lisa is expecting her second child in October. Bailey was originally due on October 28, 2025.

Emma says she feels like she’s in a ‘time warp’

Emma and Ben learnt they were expecting Bailey on the same day Scott Cam called to confirm they had secured a place on the 2025 season.

Talk about a life-changing morning.

They kept the news private until after the 12-week mark before telling production, Scott, and their fellow contestants.

Lisa’s pregnancy came as an equally unexpected surprise. She found out during the opening weeks of this year’s competition after initially blaming her nausea on the stress of The Block.

Fair enough, really. Between the early mornings, relentless deadlines and budget meetings, feeling slightly unwell hardly raises alarm bells.

Both women then continued renovating while pregnant, with their babies due around the time of their respective seasons’ auctions.

Watching Lisa go through such a familiar experience has left Emma feeling as though she has somehow travelled back 12 months.

“I feel like I’m living in a little bit of a time warp and it’s just all happening again,” she admitted.

“But [it’s] very exciting for them.”

Despite his original October 28 due date, Bailey clearly had no intention of waiting around for auction day.

Emma and Ben welcomed their son on September 25, nearly five weeks early and exactly one month before The Block auctions.

The tiny new Blockhead weighed 2.78kg and later joined his parents for the season finale.

Whether Lisa’s baby will also decide to make an early entrance remains to be seen.

For now, Lisa and Rosco are preparing to welcome a sibling for their two-year-old son Lando, while Emma gets to watch someone else experience the very wild ride she completed only a year ago.

New contestants, new renovation and another Block baby on the way. No wonder she feels like she is stuck in a time loop.

The Block airs Monday to Wednesday at 7.30pm and Sundays at 7pm on Channel Nine and 9Now.
