Robert Irwin Just Hit a MASSIVE Milestone With ‘Girlfriend’ Ashleigh Scully – And Fans Are Absolutely LOSING IT!

Robert Irwin and his rumoured new girlfriend have taken their relationship to new heights…literally.

There has been a lot of speculation that the 22-year-old is currently dating talented wildlife photographer, Ashleigh Scully.

They were recently spotted together in New York City, albeit a few metres apart, but fans believe the two just “soft-launched” their partnership to the masses.

A “soft launch” is when you announce a new relationship in a very subtle way.

They have both posted a series of social media images “on top of the world” at the Grand Teton summit in Wyoming.

The pictures show different parts of the gruelling climb that finishes nearly 4,200 metres above sea level, with Ashleigh revealing her mum was with her every step of the way.

Robert and Ashleigh both took identical photos of their hands touching the benchmark at the top of the mountain.

Neither one appears in or is tagged in the other’s photos.

Ashleigh, who is from New Jersey and has been friends with Robert for years, said she has looked at the mountain for most of her life but had never climbed it until now.

“I’m grateful to have finally seen the valley from the top. Thank you to all involved for a successful climb and to my badass mamma who was there every step of the way,” she said.

The individual posts were enough to fuel the speculation from fans that this is confirmation that the two are dating.

“Definitely a girl taking these photos,” one commented on Robert’s post.

“We love a soft launch, Robert, ” another said.

“I noticed that Ashleigh posted pictures on top of Grand Teton, too,” a third commented.

The two could just be hanging out as friends, or it could be a cute bonding moment where Robert gets to meet one of his future in-laws.

What do we know about Ashleigh Scully?

Ashleigh is a wildlife photographer, which means she shares one of Robert’s biggest passions outside of working at Australia Zoo.

In addition to dancing and being a conservationist, Robert has been fine-tuning his photography skills and has shared many of his snaps on social media.

By comparison, Ashleigh has been doing it a lot longer.

She claimed she’s been photographing since she was just 8 years old, and a lot of her content is from Jersey, Wyoming, Alaska, Norway and the oceans in between.

In a post on social media last year, she said one of her biggest focuses has been on Arctic wildlife.

She was also a Division 1 athlete for five years, and has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s of Arts in literature.

Ashleigh wrote her Master’s thesis on the 19th-century oil and whaling empire, specifically within the North Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic Oceans.

A source told Us Weekly that Ashleigh had been “traveling all over” with Robert for months.

Robert and Ashleigh were with a group who had gone deep-sea diving and posed for a photo in wetsuits.

Ashleigh was photographed in March, hopping out of Robert’s car in Australia and arriving on set for Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro, a spin-off show that he’s hosting.

In photos, Robert looked lovingly at Ashleigh, who was all smiles, wearing glasses, a black tank top, and a jacket.
