“It’s the Cutest!” Terri Irwin Just Revealed the ADORABLE Nickname Granddaughter Grace Uses for Her!

Terri Irwin’s sweet family nickname has been revealed in a birthday card from her granddaughter.

The Irwin matriarch turned 62 on Monday, and she received messages from all over the world wishing her another happy lap around the sun.

She also received a letter from five-year-old Grace, which included a hand-drawn picture of the youngster with the family’s pet pug, Stella.

“Deer Bunny, I love you. Happy birthday, the message said.

Terri shared photos of Grace’s card, flowers, and the whole family together to celebrate her big day.

“Such a sweet birthday card from Grace and Stella,” the 62-year-old said.

“Fabulous flowers, yummy cake, and a fun time at the movies. Ending the day with the perfect pizza party. I am a lucky Bunny. Best birthday ever.”

Her social media followers loved the insight into the nickname, with one saying it was “so cute” that it’s still being used.

“Bunny has to be the cutest grandma name,” added another.

“Love that your official grandma name is Bunny,” wrote a third.

Where did Terri’s nickname come from?

The Irwins opened up about family nicknames back in 2021, shortly after Bindi gave birth to Grace.

“We spent a long time searching for grandma names that also had an animal link,” Bindi told The Bump.

“When [Terri] was growing up in Oregon, her neighbour down the street was always called ‘Bunny.’

“It only just dawned on us that it wasn’t her name but rather what everyone called her since she was a grandmother figure to the entire neighbourhood.”

Robert was also included in those discussions, and the family settled on ‘funcle’, which is short for the fun uncle.

Does Steve Irwin have a nickname in the family?

Back in May, Bindi uploaded a sweet video of her husband Chandler and Grace looking after a snake.

It was here that we learned the sweet nickname that the five-year-old uses for the grandad she never got to meet.

“We have to make sure our snakes are safe and set them in this lovely outback,” Grace said in the clip, adding that Chandler was “really good at snakes”.

“You know what?” she continued, looking at Bindi.

“Your dada, Grandpa Crocodile, is really good at snakes, too.”

Robert and Bindi praised their mum on Monday as she turned 62 and both shared throwback pictures and videos of their beautiful bond over the years.

She was called the “best mum in the world” and her kids said she was an incredible role model.

“Thank you for showing me every day what it is to be brave, kind and optimistic. Love you,” he added.

Bindi said Terri “lights up the world” with her “kindness, strength and determination”.

“I love you with all my heart. And I’m forever grateful to be your daughter,” she added.
