The Aussie actress – who has not stepped out publicly with a man since her split from Keith Urban in February 2025 – was seen in a lingering goodbye with a grey-haired man outside the suite of her Portofino hotel this past weekend.

The pair were also seen hanging out and chatting by the hotel’s pool, and appeared to be deep in conversation.

After pictures of the pair emerged, Page Six revealed the man is private equity investor named Michael Reinstein, who is the founder of global private equity firm The Regent.

The LA native is also the co-founder of the USN television network.

Now, an insider close to Kidman has claimed that the movie star is “content” with how her life is going at the moment, but remains “extremely private” when it comes to revealing titbits about her love life.

A source close to Kidman told Daily Mail: “After everything she went through with Keith, she deserves to find happiness. She never thought her marriage wouldn’t work out and she tried as best as she could to keep her family intact. Her daughters are her best friends, and she seems really content in her life. She’s so easy to get along with and kind. She keeps her personal life extremely private.”

While Kidman and Reinstein’s relationship status remains unconfirmed, in February rumours were rife that the actress was dating Paul Salem, Chairman of the Board at MGM Resorts International.

Sources told TMZ at the time that the 62-year-old business executive has made it clear to his close friends of his intentions with Kidman, and he has plans to woo her in a bid to take her on a date.

It’s believed he has met with the Oscar-winner twice in group settings because of their mutual friends, and she reportedly quickly caught his attention.

The romance rumours have yet to die down with celebrity gossip site DeuxMoi reporting just last month that things were heating up behind the scenes between the Hollywood star and the prominent businessman, who is said to have deep ties in the world of finance, sport and entertainment.

“We’re told the relationship has been quietly developing for the past few months and the pair have been keeping things extremely low-key and largely out of the public eye,” the site claimed.

However, a source has told OK! magazine that Kidman is officially single and happily focusing on her kids and family.

“She is not dating anyone but she is a single woman,” the source said. “She is focused on her kids.
