“Steal This Show!” McLeod’s Daughters Star BEGS Channel 7 to Hijack a Massive Hit Series From Their Biggest Rival!

Australians have echoed the star of one of Australia’s biggest shows after she took a cheeky swipe at Channel 9.

Bridie Carter starred on six seasons of McLeod’s Daughters as Tess, the lead character of the show.

The show ran on Channel 9 between 2001 and 2009, producing perhaps one of the most gutwrenching deaths on Australian television.

The show followed two sisters who were thrown back together after being estranged for two decades.

It starred Bridie, Lisa Chappel, Rachael Carpani, Doris Younane and Luke Jacobz.

However, for the last 17 years, the actors have been plagued by one question: “Will we ever see new episodes of the show on our screens ever again?”

Bridie was asked if there was any truth to the rumours that McLeod’s Daughters would be getting a reboot.

“Look, I heard your last two stories and the people you were speaking with, The Castle and Home Alone,” she told The Morning Show.

“Look, I’m just gonna shout it out. I tried so very hard, I was behind it a trillion per cent with Posey Graeme-Evans.”

However, the powers that be need to “pull their fingers out” to make it happen.

Bridie said that she is still determined to make it happen, pointing out all the reboots that have happened around the world.

She added that Australians were massive fans of the show when it initially aired.

“Like, we actually owe them something,” she said, adding she’d be “back in the saddle in a second” to have another chance at playing Tess.

She said she believed it would make for interesting television, and there would be so many more stories to tell about the characters.

She then took a cheeky swipe at the network and begged Channel 7 to take drastic action.

“Here’s a challenge for Channel 7. Perhaps you’d like to steal something from Nine,” she said.

Bridie said the show was ready and waiting to happen, and was still playing in 200 territories.
