The Farmer Wants A Wife Star Who Just Revealed The News We’ve All Been Waiting Four Years For — And The Clues Were There All Along
It’s been four long years since 27-year-old Ben Scowen embarked on a quest to find love on Farmer Wants a Wife.
The dairy farmer from Wingham, NSW, ultimately chose hospital administrator Aleisha Mackail as his pick on the hit Channel Seven show, but shortly after the reunion episode aired in October 2022, they revealed they had split.
“I am completely heartbroken to announce that sadly Ben and I have parted ways,” Aleisha shared in a social media post at the time.
“I tried everything I could to make our relationship last after the show… but unfortunately, it wasn’t there for Ben anymore and I was left absolutely shocked.”
Ben meanwhile addressed the relationship breakdown in his own post a week later.
“Like any relationship, we had our ups and downs and unfortunately, we just didn’t work out,” the then father-of-one shared.
He went on to re-establish a life out of the public eye.

Fast forward four years from that much publicised split however, and Ben has welcomed another baby with his partner Lily, and is set to walk down the aisle!
The farmer – who still boasts more than 20,000 followers on Instagram – proposed to Lily in July.
They had already welcomed a baby girl – Lainey Mae – together, making Ben’s daughter Indiana from a previous relationship a very proud sister.
And while Ben is thrilled to be “giving forever a go” with his soulmate, it’s clear he still maintains a close bond with one of his Farmer Wants a Wife co-stars.
Farmer Will Simpson, who found lasting love with his chosen pick Jessica Cova, is set to be Ben’s best man on his wedding day!

The boys reconnected recently for a trip to Rosehill Racecourse to celebrate the coming nuptials, with Ben sharing a heartfelt message on social media to mark the occasion.
“An absolute cracker of a day with the ones that mean the most, appreciate everyone that was able to make it for our big day before the biggest day to come,” he wrote, before singling out Farmer Will and another friend for “making this weekend possible”.
Ben added that he “can’t wait” for them to stand beside him and Lily on their wedding day.
On his part, Farmer Will was happy to be there.
“A pretty special weekend celebrating two of the best. Couldn’t be happier for you both @the_scowens,” he wrote in his own message.
“Proud to stand beside you as best man and can’t wait to watch you two tie the knot. Not long now.”
Speaking previously to Woman’s Day, Will and Jess confirmed that Ben and his new bride will be guests at their own forthcoming Hunter Valley wedding too.

Ben has described Will as being a “very, very special” part of his life.
“It’s going to be an absolute honour to have [you] stand beside me on my big day,” he wrote to his mate on social media.
With Ben embarking on an exciting new life chapter, what about the woman from whom he split after his stint on TV?
Fans of Farmer Wants a Wife will be thrilled to learn that Aleisha has also found happiness with her partner Brendan – with the pair enjoying travelling Australia in their caravan with their Chocolate Labrador Moose .

It appears wedding bells may even be on the horizon for Aleisha too.
She told friends in a recent Instagram post that an engagement “would be nice” but that she doesn’t expect her man to pop the question until “at least next year”.
