“Start Thinking Differently!” Samantha Armytage Just Sent Karl Stefanovic a SAVAGE 3-Word Warning as She Prepares to STEAL His Job!

Karl Stefanovic’s former Nine colleague has sent the ousted Today star a very suprising message in a new interview.

Samantha Armytage has sent her former Nine colleague Karl Stefanovic a staunch message of support after his ousting from the network, admitting “I salute him” for his stance against his bosses.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph on Sunday, the 49-year-old said Stefanovic is “very good at what he does”, despite being fired from the network over his controversial podcast interviews.

“I wish him well with his new project. He’s in his 50s now. I think your life changes in your 50s. You start thinking differently,” said the ex-Seven star of the 51-year-old.

“And when you work for a network for a long time – I know I’ve been there – there’s a lot of familiarity in that and you look for something else perhaps. So I salute him.”

However, Armytage stopped short of publicly throwing her hat in the ring for the vacant Today hosting spot.

“I love breakfast TV. I’ve done it for a long time. I know how to do it, I enjoy it, and I’m doing some fill-in stuff coming up, which will be great,” she said.

“But there is no job offered.”

The comments come amid speculation both Armytage and Today Extra star Sylvia Jeffreys, 40, are in a shoot-out to front the strugging breakfast show.

Both are expected to spend time in the co-host chair over the coming weeks.

Earlier this month, Australian Radio Network (ARN) followed in Nine’s footsteps by axing Karl Stefanovic in the wake of his podcast interview with Tommy Robinson.
