The BIGGEST Hollywood Scandal Yet? Kyle Sandilands Shares Keith Urban’s 4-Word Text and the Warning Sign He Missed Overnight!
Kyle Sandilands has opened up about the telling private text message he received from Keith Urban before his marriage to Nicole Kidman unravelled.
Radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands has revealed the unusual text message he received from Keith Urban before the country star’s shock split from Nicole Kidman- which he now believes may have offered a telling clue about the state of their marriage.
Sandilands, 55, shared the text message he received from Urban, 58, ahead of the country star’s visit to Australia during Wednesday’s episode of Kyle Sandilands Live.
It read: “Bro, when I get there, we MUST catch up.”
The shock jock said he received the message before the unexpected split between the former Aussie power couple was announced.
“Before it was announced, Keith sent me a text … he was coming out to Australia,” Sandilands said.
“He’s a good guy. He sent me a text saying, “Bro, when I get there, we MUST catch up.'”

Although he didn’t suspect the message had any hidden meaning at the time, Sandilands said that, in hindsight, he wondered whether Urban had been reaching out for support.
“I looked back at that and thought, ‘aha’. I didn’t realise what he was saying then,'” Kyle admitted.
Sandilands also reflected on couple’s divorce, which was finalised in January, saying he’s “not taking sides” and that sometimes relationships “come to a natural end”.
“Keith is a really nice guy, and Nicole is super sweet as well. Some of these relationships just come to a natural end,” the shock jock added.
“When you’re in the spotlight like these two, who are really quite private, they don’t air the dirty laundry.
“They are just two really sweet people. I like them very much. I’m not taking sides.”

The Australian radio and TV personality also recounted the time he and his former KIIS co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson interviewed the couple on the now-cancelled Kyle and Jackie ‘O’ Show, saying Urban became noticeably “uncomfortable” when asked about his wife’s “graphic” movie scenes.
“When Keith came on the show live during a tour on the old radio show, he was quite prickly about that topic,” Kyle said on his Wednesday broadcast.
“I think I said to him, ‘Mate, I can’t watch your wife’s films. I can’t watch her banging these young hotties – they’re too graphic – and I know her as your wife.’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, next question’. I was quite shocked.
“I thought, there’s something going on there. But then again, because they were such a great couple, I just dismissed my feelings as stupidity.”
Kyle’s former staffers agreed that something appeared to be off with Keith at the time.
“We all went off air and went, ‘Oh, that’s some real feelings there,’ producer Jaimee ‘Mayo’ Blazquez said.

Nicole and Keith married in 2006 and announced their split in 2025 after 19 years of marriage.
Earlier this month, the Oscar winning actress was pictured with 55-year-old American businessman Michael Reinstein, the founder of private equity firm Regent.
Despite reports that Urban was upset by the new romance, an insider has said he is “relieved”.
“Keith was the one who wanted out of the marriage, and he felt guilty about hurting Nicole,” a source told the Daily Mail.
According to the insider, Urban is “relieved that she’s moved on” and there is “no jealousy”.
Urban, who is still primarily based in Nashville, Tennessee, was reportedly tired of the Hollywood lifestyle and wanted to focus solely on his music.
