The I’m A Celeb Secret Julia Morris Just Revealed Will Change Everything You Thought You Knew About The Show

Julia Morris has indicated she likely won’t return as co-host of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.

The reality TV program was snapped up by Channel 7 after Ten announced in May that it would “rest” the show to focus on others in its lineup.

Seven has yet to reveal whether Julia and co-host Robert Irwin will stay on as the series’ leaders, but the former has given her strongest indication yet that the job could go to someone else.

“Do you know what? It needs a new life,” she said while filling in for Fifi Box on the Fifi, Fev and Nick radio show.

“There are a lot of very, very talented people at Seven.

“I’m looking forward to seeing one of them try. There are lots of women who have now risen and become established.

“Now, I want to see our young women coming through because there’s some great female stand-ups out on the circuit.”

The Aussie comedian and actor has co-hosted I’m A Celeb since it began in 2015.

She initially starred alongside Dr Chris Brown, who left the show in 2023, and was replaced by Robert.

Fev reassured Julia that any new host would have a tough act to follow.

Being quick and witty, she replied: “They can’t afford me. No judgement.”

However, Julia also said if the opportunity arose, she would return “in a heartbeat”.

Is Robert Irwin hosting I’m A Celeb in 2027?

Last month, Robert Irwin also appeared on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick and spoke on whether he would return to co-host the show.

The 22-year-old was asked whether Channel 7 had been in touch about the 2027 season, and he dodged the question perfectly.

“There’s been so much change with I’m A Celeb, I know as much as you guys do,” he said.

“Every single year we watch people have these life-changing experiences, but I really feel that for the first time, that Julia and myself had this opportunity to look back and go, ‘Wow! What an incredible time that was.’

“It’s been very reflective.”

What does Channel 7 have to say about I’m A Celeb?

Channel 7 is excited for a “new chapter” for one of the most “successful and talked-about franchises” on TV.

“The iconic series will bring its signature mix of adventure, humour and high-stakes challenges to Seven audiences for the first time, as an all-new cast of celebrities brave the elements, tackle unforgettable trials and compete for the coveted title of King or Queen of the Jungle,” Seven said in a statement.

Media commentator Andrew Mercado told Yahoo Lifestyle that while it might sound like a silly move to dump someone like Robert and Julia from the pivotal hosting roles, the numbers always come first.

“[The networks] will be looking at cutting costs, and maybe Robert is too expensive,” he said.

“Nobody buys a show from another network and plans to spend more money on it.”
