The situation escalated just days later on August 17, when Ally also shared the logistics of getting her things back from the farm.

In a video shared to TikTok, Ally revealed that her belongings had been individually wrapped and heavily secured with excessive layers of clear wrap, bubble wrap, and a ridiculous amount of packaging tape.

Sharing footage of the returned items, she wrote, “I FINALLY get my stuff sent back from the farm post breakup, and the saxophones are getting louder…”, captioning the post: “2 whole rolls of packing tape later… #theaudacityofmen”.

Dylan had previously openly admitted he wasn’t entirely proud of how things unfolded, conceding, “Everyone calls me a man-child and they’re probably dead right.”

“I wasn’t willing to compromise on the goals and dreams that I’m chasing. And I couldn’t ask Ally to compromise on the future that she wanted. I didn’t think that was fair. Ally deserves someone who’s ready to build the sort of future she wants. Our lives were headed in different directions,” Dylan told Woman’s Day.

He opened up about how returning to everyday life forced him to face reality regarding his rodeo career ambitions.

“When filming finished and we were back into normal life, I spent a lot of time thinking about what the next few years would look like and I had to be honest with myself.”

For Ally, she shared that the split hit particularly hard as she was already making concrete plans to pack up her life in Maitland, NSW, and relocate to Dylan’s farm in South Australia.

“I was willing to reshape my life to join his but I also realised I needed to feel chosen in return. I was making plans to move and build a home and make that life work,” she said.

The pair ultimately spent two weeks on the farm after the reunion before officially ending their romantic relationship a month later.

This was the update we were hoping for after seeing the lovebirds look completely smitten at the reunion.

“The spark has ignited into a flame,” Zac had said.

Maya echoed his enthusiasm, confirming that they are “stronger than ever” and already making long-term moves.

“We have spoken about a time frame of me moving over to Adelaide and it would probably be within the six-months-to-a-year mark, but we’ll just play it by ear,” Maya shared. “We’re pretty happy to just go with the flow and see how it goes, but we’re very happy with how things are going.”

Social media sleuths had spotted even more evidence that these two are the real deal.

Right after Zac’s final decision aired, his sister Isobel reportedly shared a picture of herself with Maya captioned “Chose a good one” (before quickly deleting it).

At that point, all eyes were on the reunion. And things got a little awkward when Alex confronted Eddy over her decision to pull the plug so quickly after filming ended.

“Pretty much as soon as the cameras stopped rolling, I felt as though she recoiled. I can’t explain why she did what she did — I can only guess,” Alex explained.

“It just took me by surprise. The amount of time that we had together on the experience, and then we had a week together, and then a week of you on secondment, and then you ended it. There’s not much effort there. Personally, I don’t feel like you gave it as much time as you should’ve, considering where it started.”

Eddy defended her decision, citing intense differences in personality, lifestyle and values as the core reasons for the breakup, which, to be honest, was definitely something we got a glimpse of while they were on the show.

“Alex is a very deep, intense person, while I’m a bit more go-with-the-flow, easy-going. Opposites often attract, but I think for us, it was hard to overcome those differences,” Eddy said.

“There were just a few things that happened that made me realise that we weren’t super compatible. There’s obvious things like religion and politics — after the show when we really spent actual quality time together, I just felt a bit of a shift in how I was feeling… it was just too intense for me.”
