Samantha Armytage has revealed she will co-host the Today show in the coming weeks, but it’s only a temporary spot.
The former Sunrise star has appeared on the Channel 9 breakfast program before, filling in for Sarah Abo in 2024.
But with Sarah now on maternity leave, Yahoo Lifestyle understands Nine will be shaking up the Today lineup every few weeks with new faces to see who could fill that empty seat more permanently.
The network is also seeking to replace Karl Stefanovic, who left the program in late June.
While Samantha confirmed to The Daily Telegraph that she would be appearing on the breakfast show soon, there is “there is no job offer” at the moment.
But in a perfect world, if her co-hosting gig performed perfectly, was a ratings hit, and an offer came through, would she take it?
“I don’t know, is the answer to that,” she told News Corp.
“I don’t have anything left to prove in that breakfast TV role. I have done that at the highest levels and done it really well.”
